Bespoke Carpentry in Cardiff
LM Carpentry takes on bespoke carpentry projects across Cardiff, from Victorian terraces in Roath and Canton to newer homes in Pontprennau and Radyr. Fitted wardrobes, media walls, under stairs storage and staircase refurbishments, designed and built by one craftsman.
A Bespoke Carpenter for Cardiff Homes
LM Carpentry is run by Leigh Morgan, an NVQ Level 3 qualified carpenter with over 12 years' experience. We are based in Neath Port Talbot, a straightforward drive along the M4 from Cardiff, and take on bespoke projects across the city.
Our work is fitted furniture and joinery made for one specific space: wardrobes built wall to wall, media walls designed around your television and fire, storage cut to the slope of your stairs, and staircases reclad in oak and glass.
You deal with Leigh from the first message to the final fitting. There are no sales reps and no subcontractors, just the person who will actually build and install your project.
Made to Measure for Cardiff's Housing
Cardiff's streets cover more than a century of house building, and each era brings its own storage problems.
Victorian and Edwardian Terraces
In areas such as Roath, Canton, Pontcanna and Splott, chimney breasts leave alcoves in most living rooms and bedrooms, and the space under the stairs is often boxed in. Alcove units, fitted wardrobes and under stairs storage are made to fit walls that are rarely square.
1930s Semis
Suburbs like Rhiwbina, Whitchurch and Llanishen are full of inter-war semi-detached houses with generous hallways and box rooms. A staircase refurbishment or a wall of fitted wardrobes makes the most of their proportions.
Modern Estates and Apartments
Newer homes in Pontprennau, St Mellons and Cardiff Bay tend to have plain, flat living room walls and limited built-in storage, which makes them ideal for a media wall or sliding wardrobes.
